Falling into Fall

"Cheryl Leutjen Writes"

I finally got around to turning the page on the month calendar, and, though I’ve been drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes for a solid month (there’s some fodder for the haters), I’m still shocked to see OCTOBER at the top of the page. It’s been consistently showing up after September for all my several decades now, so why the shock?

Everything has just seemed OFF lately. Our local weather has been giving me whiplash, careering from cold, overcast days to scorching heat waves. We either have a Speaker of the House or we don’t, depending on which minute you tune into the news. I’m relieved to report that Fat Bear Week has commenced on schedule without any voting controversies. So far. Today’s your last chance to vote!

Then came the tragic news of deadly conflict in Israel, teenagers slaughtered at a concert for peace, FFS. I’m at a loss to know what I can possibly say that matters. Thoughts and prayers . . . sounds so trite these days, and yet that’s what I’ve got to offer at the moment. Seems I say that all too often lately. #peace #salam #shalom

No better time than now for today’s Essential Eco-Therapy:  I’m sharing an interview with Dr Zach Bush. The whole interview is illuminating but lengthy and, well, depressing. The link I’m sharing takes you directly to the segment I recommend, the dessert you get after finishing your kale. For me anyway. How do you feel about it? Let me know.  EmailFacebook or Instagram

Imagine all the people living life in peace. . .
