Miss Informative Review for "Madness On the Brink.."

If you’re a lover of the planet and the life on it, than you’ll love  reading this book. Cheryl doesn’t just openly express her anger about how overwhelming the whole climate crisis is, and how it would almost take nothing short of a miracle to turn it around at this point, she backs up what she says with facts and sources. Her footnotes are extensive....

"Seems I'm not alone in my madness ..." by Larry Oliver - Review for Madness on the Brink...

I really like the author’s tone. Ms. Leutjen jokes about things (she speaks snark fluently), but she is sharply aware of the gravity of global climate change, accumulated pollution, and their problematic-moving-toward-catastrophic consequences. Sharply, painfully, borderline self-consciously aware.

"Powerful Information" by Reni - Review for Madness on the Brink...

As a climate warrior in Appalachia, I am not unfamiliar with organizations that are trying to alert the world to the peril it is in. And yet the author gave me excellent pathways to do even more via grassroots organizations like thegoodgriefnetwork.org;  plasticpollutioncoalition.org and my favorite,  fearlessgrandmotherssb.org. And I made an extra donation to Greenpeace. That in itself should be an indication of the power of Cheryl Leujen’s new book "Madness on the Brink..."

“One Day at a Time, Let’s Love Earth Now” Review

I really enjoyed reading Love Earth Now, and I will be going back for the love invitations because I had to stop at one  invitation that managed to quiet my mind. We need authors like Cheryl who is truthful in her experiences and uses them to help others who are on the same path of saving the environment. – Krystle Mitchell

“Living Eco-Mindfully” by Mother Earth News

Author Cheryl Leutjen’s book is a deeply thoughtful, often neurotic, and  sometimes comedic exploration of her own efforts to make an  eco-contribution. Through personal observation, that she records in  stunningly beautiful prose, Leutjen’s ode to our planet is one of the  most distinctive ecological books to come along in a generation.

New Book Gives Spiritual View on how to “Love Earth Now” by Hawaii in Real Life

Leutjen does speak about practical matters like good reasons to start a compost pile, citing a disturbing piece of research that drives home  the point to readers: Los Angeles collects on average more than six tons  per day of refuse, recyclables, and yard waste. She makes you think about that number, multiplied by all the cities across the world.

…What she mostly does, though, is reframe life from a very spiritual  perspective, making the reader appreciate simple things like the usefulness of pigeons, the beauty of compassion, and even the sacredness  of the usually-unappreciated ant.
